TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Annapolis. In honor of Chuck Norris’ life, we’d like to encourage you to adopt the message from his final Instagram post (a video of him sparring just a week before his death at 86): Don’t age. Level up.

RIP Chuck.

In today’s Naptown Scoop:

  • New luxury barbershop

  • Executive Order for Army-Navy game

  • Sign legislation

Let’s get to it.

Your Go-To Spot to Practice

Yoga Factory has become a go-to for people looking to stay consistent and make time for their practice. With studios in Annapolis, Arnold and Crofton, it’s an easy place to fit yoga into a busy schedule.

The schedule includes 150+ classes each week across more than 10 styles, so there’s always something that works. Some days call for a strong, sweaty flow. Others call for slowing things down and moving with intention. Either way, experienced teachers guide every class and make students feel welcome from the start.

It’s the kind of place that keeps people coming back, week after week.

They say it best: we love having you here.

Fire Dept. Station 6 now in service šŸš’

Think of it as rising from the ashes: A new Crownsville fire station is opening up just as an old one is closing. (Don’t worry, this opening/closing has nothing to do with a fire — we just thought the ā€œrising from the ashesā€ metaphor fit.) The new Anne Arundel County Crownsville Fire Station 6 officially opened last week. It’s located at the corner of Sunrise Beach Road and Generals Highway and replaces the Herald Harbor Volunteer Fire Department station on Hall Road, which closed the same day.

  • A modern facility: The state-of-the-art 22,316-square-foot station is centrally located for better response times. It’ll house apparatuses like Fire Engine 6 and Tanker 6. Plus, it’ll have large bays for the AACoFD Medical Ambulance Bus.

  • Safety first: This new station aims for healthier firefighters and medics by offering on-site gear washers and decontamination areas. These spaces will reduce cancer risk associated with being a first responder.

AACFD called this ā€œthe end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter in emergency service delivery.ā€
