TOGETHER WITH
Good morning, Annapolis. A man now known as “Legend Dairy” climbed Colorado’s Huron Peak (14,012 feet) on Labor Day weekend with a 60-pound pack filled with dry ice and ice cream and gave out samples at the top wearing an ice cream costume and sunglasses with a fake mustache. That’s our kind of hero.

🧸 Play Street Museum does tons of parties and is great for really young ones.
🎳 Annapolis Bowl. What’s more classic than a bowling birthday?
Side note: 🐭 RIP Chuck E. Cheese. Our nearest Chuck E. Cheese is now in Glen Burnie as the one on Forest Drive is now closed.
📚 Park Books. Great way to make books more fun: make them the party!

New Mayoral Candidate Alert: Meet Ellie Grace
It’s not like there’s any specific rule stating that in order to run for mayor, you actually need to be human. And if there’s ever been a dog who could govern the people of Annapolis, it is Ellie Grace. This three-year old pittie wakes every morning with your best interest first and foremost in her mind. To round up votes, she’ll shake hands, kiss babies, and sniff butts like the most seasoned candidate.
She knows the commands for “stay” “fetch,” and “lower excessive parking fines to support local businesses.” Ellie Grace’s constituents at the SPCA say she’s won everyone’s confidence through her supportive, communicative nature, where she crosses the aisle through snuggling and long walks. At a recent event, she gained the endorsement of the U.S. Postal Service when she recommended that all postal workers should carry dog treats, not pepper spray.
And while many candidates use local elections to boost their trajectories onto the national scene, Ellie Grace wants you to know she’s fully focused on her own backyard. So hurry up and get this gorgeous girl – she’s ready to change lives for the better.

NAPTOWN SCOOP LOCAL BUSINESS IS POWERED BY. . .
10 years of Eastport Kitchen
One of our favorite secret spots is celebrating 10 years in business this Saturday. And instead of asking for gifts, they’re giving them. Owners Tony and Celia Moynagh are donating sales for the entire day to their three favorite local nonprofits:
🌱 Seeds 4 Success: Provides children from low-income communities the skills and support they need for a successful future
⛵ EWE Spirit Foundation: Honors the legacy of the late Geoff Ewenson by bridging financial and social gaps for those facing immediate hardship. A major supporter of our Annapolis Hope campaign 🙂
♿ CRAB: Provides the therapeutic benefits of sailing to people with disabilities, wounded veterans, and kids from underserved communities.
Eastport Kitchen is found at 923 Chesapeake Avenue and we highly recommend the Kitchen Burger (with egg), Eastportorican, and the Binky. But honestly you can’t go wrong here.
$4.25M Sale of 1940 West St in Annapolis 🔑
Hyatt Commercial’s recent sale of 1940 West Street has us wondering who the mysterious “buyer” is of the 10,000 SF freestanding retail/warehouse building in Annapolis. Here’s what we know:
The property (first introduced as a lease opportunity) sold for a cool $4.25 million
Hyatt Commercial Executive VP John Gallagher represented the seller
Adam Schindler of Colliers represented the buyer, who plans to renovate and occupy the space
While we know where to find the space (near the Mazda dealership and Burger King), time will tell what the space will become.
2025 Lego Expo and Building Contest Winners 👏
Bravo to these builders and winners of Franklin Toys’ 2025 Lego Expo and Building Contest! Kids built their own creations for display at the Severna Park or Annapolis toy stores. First-place winners in each age group won a $50 gift card, while second-place winners earned a $25 gift card. These were some of our favs but it’s worth clicking to see all winners whose imaginations stacked up into something amazing!
🌈 Rainbow Palace, Age Group: 2–4
Who doesn’t love when Woody and Buzz reign over Rainbow Palace that actually follows the correct order of the rainbow?

🚴B&A Bike Trail Snowball Stand, Age group: 5–7
We’re suckers for a nod to local businesses like the Snowball Stand and Always Ice Cream. The mini bikers and walkers are the perfect tiny details.

⚾️ Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Age group: 8–12
We love the local tie-in and searching the stands for unexpected Os fans like Yoda and Daffy Duck.

🏰 Monster’s Castle, Age Group: 13+
How many pieces did this take?! The detail is downright spook-tacular — a build worthy of a master monster architect. LEGO should hire this kid.

WHAT’S HAPPENIN’
World-famous Chris Dugdale works magic in Annapolis 🪄
If Angelina Jolie ever told us, “You’re amazing!” it would be the best thing that ever happened. And those are exactly the words of praise she had for world-renowned magician and mentalist Chris Dugdale, who you might be surprised to learn actually lives in Annapolis and set to perform on October 4 at 7 PM at Calvary Church Auditorium (301 Rowe Boulevard, Annapolis). This magic show is a benefit for Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to ending the neuromuscular disorder Friedreich’s ataxia — and that’s a cause we think is pretty magical. We’ve supported it before through our friends at the Burrows-Hill Foundation. Be dazzled by Chris.
🇬🇧 Fun fact: Chris has performed for the Royal Family an astounding 14 times.
