TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Annapolis. Want to know the real green today? The $7.7 billion Americans celebrating the holiday, mostly on food and drink (read: mostly drink).

As for us, we’ll be blasting Dublin 5 all day and if anyone asks us to turn down the volume, the answer shall be, “No, nay, never!”

In today’s Naptown Scoop:

  • Female-first fundraisers

  • Theater talk Tuesday

  • How many green bagels (answer!)

Let’s get to it.

— Lauren Burke Meyer, Dylan Roche, & Duffy Perkins

Rising Stars of the Annapolis Symphony Academy

Looking for something inspiring to do on a Sunday afternoon? We’ve got the perfect date idea, post-brunch musicale, or pre-dinner soundtrack with the family.

The Cecelia Wyatt Honors Recital showcases some of the most talented young musicians in our community—students who earned their place on stage through a rigorous adjudicated competition.

From elementary school performers to standout high school artists, the winners of the competition represent a new generation of musicians growing through the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra’s educational programs.

This special recital—presented in memory of Marc and Kirk Elvy—takes place March 22, 2026 at Temple Beth Shalom in Arnold.

Bring your applause. It’s a rare chance to watch rising stars at the very moment their musical journeys take flight.

Best of all? Admission is free. Come early for general seating.

TRIVIA

How many bagels did Naval Bagels give out during the St. Patrick’s Day Parade?

Naval Bagels

We got y’all. That may look like almost 10,000 green bagels but it’s only 4,500 (only. . . )

Only 25% of you guessed correctly, the rest fell for our tricks guessing either 7.2k, 8.3k (the most popular), or 10k. Now who wants to guess what time the Naval Bagels crew had to wake up to bake them all. . .
