TOGETHER WITH
Good morning, Annapolis. A medical transport helicopter had to make an emergency landing in a Tennessee elementary school parking lot last Thursday. And you thought your kid's car line was bad. . .
In today’s Naptown Scoop:
The right link for our summer 2026 bucket list

Let’s get to it.

OOPSIES
Take ✌️: Annapolis Summer 2026 Bucket List
It’s Lauren (again). If I thought I was mildly embarrassed for never trying Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre (yet), now I’m acutely embarrassed that yesterday’s Summer Bucket List link didn’t work . . .
If you’re frustrated that this is the second time recently a roundup link didn’t work (looking at you, dog-friendly restaurants), you’re not alone. The writers are coming down hard on Ryan, so you can go easy on him. Ryan thinks he’s too cool for test emails (after over 1,000 Scoops), we’re making him go back to basics and personally check every link for the next two weeks.
☀️ 🌊 Without further ado, read my Annapolis Summer 2026 Bucket List: A Local's Must-Do Guide (for real this time).

ARTS & CULTURE
Theater Talk Tuesday 🎭
Now playing
🛍️ Colonial Players presents Poor Clare, April 24–May 16. A hilariously anachronistic retelling of the true story of St. Clare of Assisi will have us all considering the cost of doing good.
🏙️ Classic Theatre of Maryland presents 42nd Street, April 29–May 17. This ever-popular musical follows a Broadway hopeful as she arrives in NYC and navigates show biz.
🦁 Children’s Theatre of Annapolis presents The Lion King, May 1–17. Simba’s journey from runaway outcast to king of the savanna comes to life onstage at CTA this spring.
Coming soon…
🎵 Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre presents Cabaret, May 21-June 20. Scandalous and tense goings-on at a nightclub unfold in late 1920s Berlin against the backdrop of the Third Reich’s rise.

Mexican restaurants for beyond Cinco de Mayo 🌮
If you don’t have plans for Cinco de Mayo already — you might be too late for this year. But you can keep this celebration of Mexican culture going all year-round, not just on May 5:
Annapolis has plenty of authentic Mexican restaurants to choose from. This should come as no surprise: 20% of Annapolitans identify as Hispanic or Latino, and many of our locally owned restaurants are founded by immigrants who’ve brought traditional family recipes with them to Maryland.
You can enjoy Mexican food any day of the year. We’ll bet most of these restaurants have no trouble booking every table on Cinco de Mayo. So why not go out for Mexican tomorrow? Or the next day? Or the day after that? If you really need an excuse, we hear Taco Tuesday happens every week.
Check out our list of 10 Mexican Restaurants You Need to Try right here in Annapolis.
P.S. One of our favorite Mexican restaurants, Señor’s Chile, just opened a market next to their Annapolis restaurant. It’s still in the soft opening phase, but it is open! Check it out at 121 Hillsmere Drive, Annapolis, MD 21403.
