March Madness and Choptank.

Even though UMD’s men didn’t make the tournament, the women did. They face #7 seed Iowa State tonight. And we know just where to watch.

🥍 For those with proper foulies, there are two Navy lax games this weekend. The women play Saturday at noon - no tickets required. The men play at 3 PM. Men's tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students & senior citizens.

It’s our beloved state’s birthday on Monday. ☔️ Rain’s in the forecast Saturday (3/23) so we picked our favorite indoor events for you. However, there are oodles more.

🌼 Make a state flower craft and plant your own Black-Eyed Susan. Check out a Black-Eyed Susan book award nominee too. Saturday at Discoveries: The Library at the Mall, 2550 Annapolis Mall Rd in Annapolis. This one’s free!

📜 The Charles Carroll House will be open for guided and self-guided tours on Saturday from 12–4 PM. 107 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401

👧👦 The Chesapeake Children’s Museum is open Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM–4 PM. Enjoy playrooms involving nature, art, and theater. There’s also a 5-acre park with a self-guided tour of Native American plants as well as a musical playground and truck pit. Located at 25 Silopanna Road in Annapolis. Admission is just $1.

City of Annapolis offices are only open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday next week. Monday’s closure is for Maryland Day and Friday’s is for Good Friday. Here are some other changes (or not changes) you may want to know.

County offices are closed Friday but not Monday. WMS facilities are closed Friday but collections will continue.

The Black Knights are heading to Annapolis this weekend for a doubleheader. And the Mids need a win like Sisyphus needs a back massage. Part of the Navy wrestling team is in Kansas City, MO this weekend for the 93rd NCAA Wrestling Championships. The five Mids representing Navy are Josh Koderhandt, Andrew Cerniglia, Danny Wask, David Key, and weighing in at a fearsome 285 pounds, Grady Griess.

Unfortunately, Cerniglia and Wask lost their opening bouts; Griess and Koderhant lost their second bouts. That leaves Key as the sole Navy wrestler still in the mix. Good luck, Key!
