TOGETHER WITH
Good morning, Annapolis. Did you know there's a company called Prank-O that sells a puzzle that looks like a beautiful frozen mountain lake scene but there's a dog taking a dump on it that's not on the cover picture? Brilliant.
In today’s Naptown Scoop:
Atlas poll results
Renn Fest tickets
Navy moves ticket office off Yard
Let’s get to it.

Where to buy real books in Annapolis 📚
There's nothing like the feel of turning a real page. Or placing a well-loved bookmark that's probably just a coffee receipt. Books are rad. Here's where to buy 'em locally.
✨ New: Park Books just opened its third location inside Maryland Hall, Curmudgeon Books moved into Annapolis Mall this summer, and All Aboard Books & Gifts just pulled into downtown.
Add the standbys – Old Fox Books on Maryland Avenue (a coffee shop too!), Back Creek Books' rare finds on Main Street, Park Books' original Severna Park location, and Wyrd Bookstore in Edgewater (also with a cafe!) – and you can read local in every genre without touching a "Buy Now" button.

POLL RESULTS
🗳️ Poll results: Is Atlas good for Annapolis?

1,861 of you voted, and it wasn't close: 69% say Atlas isn't good for Annapolis, 18% say it is, and 13% are undecided.
The written responses had some nuance a simple yay/nay vote doesn't allow. Three that stuck with us:
🙅♀️ A no: "Choptank has probably the best waterfront views in Annapolis. The problem is, the food is less than mediocre and is way overpriced. A good tourist trap, but not what we wanna see as locals in the heart of Annapolis."
🤷♀️ An undecided: "I don't like the idea of one company taking over so many spaces in a small footprint, [but] I also don't like empty spaces."
👍 A yes: "I think it's good for the town and the economy. We live in a tourist town and we need places that will draw more people here to stand up the rest of the economy. I do not consider it corporate, it's not a national chain, it's a local Baltimore company who is investing in our town."
Thanks to everyone who voted – and especially to the 471 of you who wrote us mini op-eds.

🚌 Hub, Sweet Hub – The school board unanimously approved the design for a $17.4 million bus facility on Shipley Avenue in Harmans – the last major fix recommended by the county's 2020 transportation audit. Get your passport to merriment.
🎟️ Yard Sale – The Navy Athletics ticket office has moved to Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (550 Taylor Ave) – meaning you no longer have to get yourself onto the Academy grounds just to buy football tickets.
