TOGETHER WITH
Good morning, Annapolis. A Swiss movie producer is suing Netflix for $105 million after an unreleased copy of his film was stolen from their office. Ironically, it was a movie starring Nicolas Cage. I bet the producer would make even more if he just cast Nicolas Cage in a new movie about stealing a movie from Netflix.
In today’s Naptown Scoop:
Nine block parties Tuesday
Lawmakers back at the State House
Our August must-dos
Dinner Club
Let’s get to it.

August is starting off strong with lots of great events this week – the Rotary Crab Feast, free Moose Tracks, and Navy Fan Fest. But don’t sleep on the back half of the month.
The Annapolis Chamber Music Festival brings five concerts to Maryland Hall from the 14th through the 22nd, including a Peter and the Wolf built for kids. Travis Pastrana’s Nitro Circus crew takes over Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on the 23rd, where the plan is essentially “more backflips.” AACPS buses start rolling again on the 24th, so the countdown is real. And on the 29th, the Renn Fest opens its 50th season in Crownsville.
Fifty years of turkey legs. What a time to be alive.

The Secret to a Better Lawn Isn't Spring
Most people think spring is the best time to fix their lawn. Lawn Doctor says it's actually fall.
As summer winds down, cooler temperatures and healthier soil create the perfect conditions for new grass to grow stronger roots before winter. That's why their Fall Recovery Program is one of the smartest investments you can make for next year's lawn.
The program includes Power Seeding, two fertilizer and weed control applications, a lime treatment, and a free soil test to give your lawn exactly what it needs.
For a limited time, save $100, and if you prepay for the program, you'll receive an additional 5% discount. Your neighbors will notice the difference next spring.
