Tonight is a very important night. At 5 PM at the Annapolis Maritime Museum’s Park Campus, a group of Annapolitans making a real difference will gather around a shared mission. It’s the Annapolis Hope kickoff event (what’s Annapolis Hope?). Who should come to this? Anyone on this list:

We’re gathering to celebrate Annapolis Hope’s successful start—over $20k raised so far. But this is just the beginning of Annapolis Hope. In the famous (and somewhat modified) words of John Paul Jones, “[We] have not yet begun to fight!”

The Rotary Club of Annapolis is offering a $30,000 scholarship to a local graduate student studying abroad. Your studies must fit with one of Rotary International’s focus areas, AKA peace, disease, sanitation, mothers and children, education, local economies, or the environment. The race is Thanksgiving morning at 8:30 AM at the Y in Arnold and proceeds support the Y Open Doors Fund. The fund enables access and inclusion in healthy Y programs for all.
