Kate Myersās Excavations gets TV show
Hereās some news we really dig: Excavations, the bestseller by Annapolitan Kate Myers, is being adapted for TV. You mightāve read Kateās book when it came out in 2023 ā itās about a group of four very different women on an archeological dig in Greece, and itās hilarious. But donāt take our word for it, because Amy Poehler thinks so too (yes, the Amy Poehler). She dubbed it one of her favorite books she read last year, and sheās producing the series for Peacock alongside Parks & Recreation co-creator Mike Schur. Kate has co-executive producer credit.
Letās dig into the details: The show will be called Dig. Amy Poehlerās starring (for those whoāve read the book, sheās playing Elise) and will co-write the pilot. If you havenāt read Excavations yet, you can get a copy wherever books are sold, but we highly recommend a local shop like Old Fox Books, Park Books, or Wyrd.
